Flood Insurance

As spring approaches with snow melts and rain storms, the chance of damage caused by flooding increases greatly.  The good news is that most homes are not located in areas which are considered to be at ‘high risk’ for flooding.  The bad news is that flooding can happen to homes located in ‘low’ & ‘moderate’ risk zones.

Assuming the community in which your home is located participates in the National Flood Insurance Program, Flood Insurance is available to protect your home regardless of risk.

Homes in ‘low risk’ zones will likely qualify for coverage in the very affordable ‘Preferred Flood Program’.  Give you agent a call to discuss what is available for your home.

It is important to realize that most new Flood Insurance policies have a 30 day waiting period before coverage takes effect, so don’t wait!
